INtroducing SEASCAPE: AUCKLAND’S TALLEST RESIDENTIAL TOWER

 

Standing 187 metres high, Seascape will be the tallest residential tower in New Zealand and a magnificent sculptural addition to the Auckland skyline. The striking design - with its angular glass form and lattice mega-brace - is the product of a dynamic collaboration between developers, Shundi and architects, Peddle Thorp.

Its name speaks to its waterfront location just one block back from the sparkling Waitemata Harbour, but also to the inspiration that has driven this project from its conception: creating north-facing apartments with floor-to-ceiling glass framing spectacular water views of the harbour and the Hauraki Gulf.

Located on the edge of Britomart at 83 Customs Street East in the Auckland CBD, Seascape occupies a full city block and is bounded by Custom Street East, Gore Street, Gore Street Lane and Fort Street. The glass tower - which contains 221 luxurious apartments including 15 stunning penthouses and sub-penthouses – sits upon a seven storey mixed-use podium which has retail and commercial tenancies and residents’ amenities. The full project includes the re-cladding, refurbishment and seismic strengthening of Ballantyne House - an existing 12-storey concrete office building on the eastern edge of the site - into a boutique hotel - and refurbishment of the heritage Britomart Hotel on the western edge.
